POLICIES, GUIDELINES, TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Umara Music Academy Rules and Regulations

To ensure a positive and productive learning environment for all students, we kindly ask that you adhere to the following rules and regulations:

Attendance and Punctuality    

  • Students are expected to attend all scheduled sessions on time.
  • Missed sessions will not be refunded or made up for.
  • In the event of a teacher absence, a substitute teacher will be appointed, or the class will be rescheduled.
  • Late students will not receive extra time.


Conduct and Behavior
   

  • Students are expected to respect the academy’s property and maintain an orderly and exemplary manner.
  • Cooperation with staff and fellow students is essential to ensure a friendly and conducive learning atmosphere.
  • Unruly behavior may result in discontinuation of classes.
  • Smoking, drinking, and any form of illegal substance or material are strictly prohibited on the premises.


Fees and Payments
   

  • All fees are due in advance.
  • Receipts are issued only through the office.
  • Fees will not be refunded if a student cancels lessons during the term.
  • The payment of the selected course is non-refundable.


Attendance and Certification
   

  • Students with 75% physical attendance are eligible to sit for the written and practical exam to obtain the Certificate of Excellence.    
  • Students with 75% physical attendance can participate in special workshops for free.   
  • An additional fee will be charged for the certificate ceremony.   


Academy Uniform and Identification
 

  • It is compulsory for all students to wear the provided UMS T-shirts during academy hours.
  • Students must carry their Student ID and QR code daily.
  • The Student ID is valid until the completion of studies or expiry date.
  • The academy reserves the right to refuse entry if an authorized ID is not presented.
  • All students must return their student ID card before graduation.


Communication and Information
 

  • Students and parents are advised to check the academy’s social media platforms regularly for updates, events, and general information.
  • The office is closed on Mondays and Thursdays.
  • General inquiries will be dealt with immediately during normal office hours.
  • For specific queries, please contact the office or the Directors to schedule an appointment.
  • Outside office hours, please leave a detailed message.
  • The Directors are available for students and parents and can be contacted through the office.
  • To talk to a teacher, please make an appointment through the office.


Photography and Publicity

  • Photographs may be taken of students for publicity purposes.
  • Submission of the enrollment form will be regarded as permission for such photographs to be used unless otherwise stated.


Parental Responsibility

  • Parents are responsible for the safe pick-up and drop-off of students who are minors.
  • Parents are advised to wait in the lobby area while sessions are in progress.
  • No parent or attendant is allowed inside the studio unless the child is below 7 years of age (2-3 sessions allowed).
